Digital Secure Form Electronic Signing
Legally Binding Electronic Transactions ExpressDox Secure Forms™ uses digital certificates, electronic receipt processing, and e-Notary services to embed trust in electronic transactions. These tools allow all trusted parties to the transaction to vouch for the authenticity of electronic signatures, approvals, and contractual amounts. As a result of these tools, ExpressDox provides its clients with reliable assurance that contracts and agreements are binding on all parties. We guarantee that electronic signatures are valid, and that electronic documents cannot be and have not been tampered with. Should there be a challenge to any transaction, ExpressDox provides tools to resolve the dispute and prove the validity or invalidity of a claim. To insure that documents managed by our "all electronic" Secure Forms transaction closing systems are valid and binding, we employ these 6 layers of protection and verification: Digital Signatures and Receipts
ExpressDox Secure Forms provides the technology necessary to electronically sign transaction documents (e-Signatures) using "digital certificates", and to acknowledge transactions using digital receipts (e-Receipts). This "e-Sign Act" compliant technology can be embedded into any organization's workflow.
Support for multiple signatures is provided and signature placement is restricted to predetermined document elements based upon authentication and authorization policy.
Verification of Credentials
ExpressDox Secure Forms authenticates users and validates the credentials of the user through a process known as Private Key Encryption. It identifies valid transactions by verifying the encrypted key (digital certificate) used to sign a document. This signature key is validated with private keys held by the document recipient - and master keys held by trusted third parties.
Invalid keys (signatures) are instantly identified - thereby providing a level of fraud protection not available with legacy manual systems.
Rules Based Security
ExpressDox Secure Forms permits customers to specify content-based rules for all elements in an electronic document. For example, the lender can allow on-the-fly changes, such as "street" to "road" in an address field, but disallow any changes in the interest rate field.
e-Notary Service
ExpressDox Secure Forms includes an electronic e-Notary solution. The notary service verifies and validates the origin and integrity of a document or receipt, certifying the information with a state approved electronic notary seal held by the designated notary. Furthermore, Secure Forms uses "trusted time services" to time-stamp these critical events.
Tamper-evident Journals
ExpressDox Secure Forms records all document activity in an electronic journal, sometimes referred to as a transaction log. Thus, an archived audit trail is preserved in the event that any electronic transaction should come under challenge.
The integrity of this system is further extended by archiving the transactions and transaction log on "write-once" mediums that are tamper resistant.
Distributed Administration
Management of the ExpressDox Secure Form electronic workflow systems is extended through authenticated access using web-based technologies. This enables distributed administration of applicable policies and procedures by authorized departments and/or individuals within the client organizations.
